The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an important notice regarding the launch of its new official website https://ssc.gov.in/ (live w.e.f. 17.02.2024). Major changes have been made to the One Time Registration (OTR) process and the photograph uploading system for future examinations.
1. Website & OTR Changes (महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव)
Candidates must note that the Old OTR (on ssc.nic.in) will NOT work on the new website.

2. New "Live Photograph" Instructions
The commission has changed the application module. Candidates are no longer required to upload pre-scanned photos. Instead, Live Photographs will be captured using a Webcam or Android Device.

| 1. Lighting | Find a place with good light and a plain background. |
| 2. Camera Position | Ensure the camera is at eye level before capturing. |
| 3. Posture | Position yourself directly in front of the webcam and look straight ahead. |
| 4. Prohibited Items | Do NOT wear a cap, mask, or glasses/spectacles. |
Candidates are advised to complete their One Time Registration (OTR) on the new website immediately to avoid last-minute rush during exam notifications.
