Stage 1: Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination - Screening Test

This is a qualifying exam for Indian Forest Service Main Examination.

⚠️ Important: Negative marking of 1/3 marks for wrong answers. Paper II is qualifying only (minimum 33% required).

Stage 2: Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination - Written Test

Stage 3: Personality Test/Interview

Marks: 300

Final Total: 1400 (Written) + 300 (Interview) = 1700 Marks

Indian Forest Service Main Exam

Written examination with 6 papers (1400 marks). About 2 times the vacancies are called for Interview

Personality Test/Interview

300 marks interview to assess personality, leadership qualities, and suitability for Forest Service

Final Merit List

Based on Main Exam (1400) + Interview (300) = 1700 marks. Prelims marks NOT counted in final merit.
